JPIn: Jurnal Pendidik Indonesia is a high-quality, open-access, peer-reviewed scholarly journal published by Yayasan Pendidikan Intan Cendekia. JPIn provides an academic platform for researchers, lecturers, teachers, students, education practitioners, and policymakers from Indonesia and other countries to disseminate high-quality empirical research in the field of education.

The journal focuses on educational innovation, teaching and learning strategies, curriculum development, educational technology, assessment and evaluation, educator professional development, inclusive education, character and values education, literacy and numeracy, as well as other relevant issues in formal, non-formal, and informal education.

JPIn accepts the following types of manuscripts:

1.     Original empirical research articles;

2.     Systematic literature reviews; and

3.     Meta-analyses.

Systematic literature reviews and meta-analyses must employ rigorous, transparent, and reproducible methods and make substantial theoretical, methodological, or practical contributions to the advancement of education. Narrative reviews that merely summarize previous studies without a transparent review method will not be considered for publication.

Submitted manuscripts must meet the standards of scientific rigor, originality, academic integrity, and relevance to the journal’s focus and scope. Manuscripts must not have been previously published and must not be under consideration by another journal.

Manuscript Language and Template

Manuscripts may be written in Indonesian or English. Authors must select and use the appropriate official JPIn template:

• JPIn Indonesian Manuscript Template for manuscripts written in Indonesian; or
• JPIn English Manuscript Template for manuscripts written in English.

Authors must use one language consistently throughout the manuscript. Indonesian and English section headings must not be combined in the same manuscript.

Manuscripts must be prepared using the official JPIn template and submitted as a Microsoft Word document in .doc or .docx format.

Detailed technical requirements concerning page layout, fonts, headings, spacing, tables, figures, and reference formatting are provided in the selected manuscript template.

Title

The title must be concise, clear, informative, and accurately reflect the principal problem addressed in the manuscript. It must not create multiple interpretations, contain uncommon abbreviations, or exceed 15 words.

The title must be written in Palatino Linotype, 14 pt, bold, using sentence case.

Author Names and Affiliations

Author names must be written in full without academic degrees, professional titles, or official positions. Author names must be written in Palatino Linotype, 11 pt, bold.

Each author must provide a complete affiliation consisting of the department, study program, faculty or academic unit, institution, and country. Affiliations must be written in Palatino Linotype, 10 pt, normal.

Abstract

The abstract must contain 150–250 words and be written in the same language as the manuscript:

• Manuscripts written in Indonesian must include an abstract in Indonesian;
• Manuscripts written in English must include an abstract in English.

The abstract must be written in Palatino Linotype, 10 pt, single-spaced, as one paragraph in a single-column format.

The abstract must briefly present:

1.     The research problem or background;

2.     The objective of the study;

3.     The research method;

4.     The principal findings; and

5.     The main conclusion, implication, or significance of the study.

The abstract must not contain citations, tables, figures, equations, or uncommon abbreviations.

Keywords

Authors must provide three to five keywords that accurately represent the principal concepts of the manuscript. Keywords must be separated by semicolons.

INTRODUCTION (11pt normal)

The introduction must contain (in sequence) a general background, a state of the art as a basis for statements of scientific novelty from articles, statements of scientific novelty, and research problems or hypotheses. At the end of the introduction, the purpose of the article review must be written. In the format of scientific articles, the literature review is not permitted as in the research report, but is manifested in the form of a state-of-the-art study to show the scientific novelty of the article.

METHOD (11pt normal)

The flow of research should be presented in this section, complete with captions. Image captions placed as part of the image title (figure caption) are not part of the picture. The methods used in completing the study are written in this section.

RESULTS AND DISCUSSION (11pt normal)

The results and discussion contain scientific research findings and discussions. Write down scientific findings obtained from the results of research that has been done, but must be supported by adequate data. The scientific findings referred to here are not the results of the research data obtained. The scientific findings must be explained scientifically, including: What scientific findings were obtained? Why did that happen? Why are trend variables like that? All these questions must be explained scientifically, not only descriptive, if necessary supported by adequate scientific basis phenomena. In addition, it should also be explained in comparison with the results of other researchers who are working on the same topic. The results of research and findings must be able to accommodate the research objectives in the introduction.

Tables

Tables must be numbered consecutively according to their order of appearance in the manuscript. The table number and title must be placed above the table and written in Palatino Linotype, 10 pt, normal.

Tables must not contain vertical lines. Horizontal lines should be limited to those necessary for clarity. Every table must be referred to and explained in the main text.

Figures

Figures must be numbered consecutively according to their order of appearance in the manuscript. Figure captions must be placed below the figure and written in Palatino Linotype, 10 pt, normal.

Figures must have sufficient resolution, and all text, labels, and symbols must be clearly legible. Every figure must be referred to and explained in the main text.

Authors are responsible for obtaining permission to reproduce or adapt copyrighted tables, figures, photographs, research instruments, or other third-party materials.

CONCLUSION (11pt normal)

The conclusion describes the answer to the hypothesis and/or the purpose of the research or scientific findings obtained. Conclusions do not contain repetitions of the results and discussion, but rather summarize the findings as expected in the objectives or hypotheses.

LIMITATION (11pt normal)

The limitation of a study refers to the constraints, shortcomings, or weaknesses that affect the scope, methodology, or overall findings of the research. These limitations can arise from various sources and influence the study's design, implementation, analysis, and conclusions.

RECOMMENDATION (11pt normal)

Recommendations describe things that will be done related to the next idea of the research. Barriers or problems that can influence the results of the research are also presented in this section.

Declare the author(s) contribution or state: The authors have sufficiently contributed to the study, and have read and agreed to the published version of the manuscript.

REFERENCES (11pt normal)

All references referred to in the text of the article must be registered in the References section. The bibliography must contain reference libraries originating from primary sources (scientific journals and amounting to a minimum of 80% of the total bibliography) published in the last 5 (five) years. Each article contains at least 25-30 references. Writing a referral system in an article text and writing a bibliography should use a reference management application program, for example, Mendeley, EndNote, or Zotero, or others.
