Ethical Guidelines for Journal Publication

The publication of scholarly articles in a peer-reviewed journal is essential to the development of credible scientific knowledge. Published articles reflect the quality, integrity, and professionalism of both the authors and their supporting institutions. Therefore, all participants in the publication process are expected to uphold honesty, transparency, fairness, academic integrity, and professional responsibility.

As the publisher, Yayasan Pendidikan Intan Cendekia is committed to safeguarding the integrity of every stage of the publication process and ensuring that editorial decisions remain independent of commercial interests, advertising, or other financial considerations. This publication ethics statement is based on the COPE Best Practice Guidelines for Journal Editors.

Duties of Editors

Publication Decisions
Editors are responsible for deciding which submitted manuscripts should be published based on scientific merit, relevance to the journal's scope, peer-review recommendations, editorial policies, and applicable legal requirements concerning copyright, plagiarism, and defamation.

Fair Play
Editors evaluate manuscripts solely on their intellectual content without discrimination based on race, gender, nationality, religion, political beliefs, or other personal characteristics.

Confidentiality
Editors and editorial staff must maintain the confidentiality of submitted manuscripts and must not disclose any information to anyone other than the corresponding author, reviewers, editorial advisors, or the publisher as appropriate.

Disclosure and Conflicts of Interest
Editors must not use unpublished information obtained through submitted manuscripts for their own research without the author's explicit written consent.

Duties of Reviewers

Contribution to Editorial Decisions
Peer reviewers assist editors in making editorial decisions and provide constructive feedback to help authors improve their manuscripts.

Promptness
Reviewers who consider themselves unqualified or unable to complete the review within the required timeframe should promptly notify the editor.

Confidentiality
Manuscripts received for review must be treated as confidential documents and must not be shared or discussed with others without authorization from the editor.

Objectivity
Reviews should be conducted objectively, fairly, and professionally. Personal criticism of authors is inappropriate.

Acknowledgement of Sources
Reviewers should identify relevant published work that has not been cited and notify the editor of any substantial similarity between the submitted manuscript and previously published work.

Disclosure and Conflicts of Interest
Reviewers should decline to review manuscripts in which they have any conflict of interest arising from competitive, collaborative, financial, or personal relationships.

Duties of Authors

Reporting Standards
Authors should present accurate, honest, and objective accounts of their research. The manuscript should contain sufficient detail and references to allow others to replicate the study where appropriate.

Originality and Plagiarism
Authors must ensure that their work is entirely original. Any use of the work, ideas, or words of others must be properly cited and acknowledged.

Multiple, Redundant, or Concurrent Publication
Authors must not submit the same manuscript to more than one journal simultaneously or publish substantially similar work in multiple journals.

Acknowledgement of Sources
Authors must properly acknowledge all sources that have significantly influenced the reported research.

Authorship
Authorship should be limited to individuals who have made significant contributions to the conception, design, execution, or interpretation of the research. The corresponding author must ensure that all eligible co-authors have approved the final manuscript before submission.

Disclosure and Conflicts of Interest
Authors must disclose any financial or non-financial conflicts of interest that could influence the interpretation of their research, as well as all sources of research funding.

Fundamental Errors in Published Works
If authors discover significant errors or inaccuracies in their published work, they are obligated to promptly notify the journal editor and cooperate in correcting or retracting the article when necessary.
