Author Guidelines

JPIn: Jurnal Pendidik Indonesia is a high-quality peer-reviewed, Open Access scholarly journal published by Yayasan Pendidikan Intan Cendekia. The journal provides an international platform for researchers, lecturers, teachers, students, education practitioners, and policymakers to publish high-quality research in the field of education.

JPIn publishes manuscripts that contribute to educational innovation, teaching and learning, curriculum development, educational technology, assessment and evaluation, educator professional development, inclusive education, character education, literacy and numeracy, and other issues related to formal, non-formal, and informal education.

The journal accepts the following manuscript types:

1. Original empirical research articles.
2. Systematic literature reviews.
3. Meta-analyses.

Systematic literature reviews and meta-analyses must employ rigorous, transparent, and reproducible methodologies while providing significant theoretical, methodological, or practical contributions to educational research. Narrative reviews that merely summarize previous studies without a systematic review methodology will not be considered for publication.

Submitted manuscripts must be original, scientifically rigorous, ethically sound, relevant to the journal's focus and scope, unpublished, and not under consideration by another journal.

Manuscript Language and Template

Manuscripts may be written in Indonesian or English. Authors must use the official JPIn manuscript template corresponding to the selected language.

Authors must use one language consistently throughout the manuscript. Mixing Indonesian and English section headings within the same manuscript is not permitted.

Manuscripts must be prepared using Microsoft Word (.doc or .docx) following the official JPIn template.

Title

The title should be concise, clear, informative, and accurately reflect the main topic of the study. It should not exceed 15 words, contain unnecessary abbreviations, or create ambiguity.

Author names must be written in full without academic degrees or professional titles.

Each author must provide complete affiliation information including:

• Study Program (if applicable)

Abstract

The abstract must be written in the same language as the manuscript and contain 150–250 words in a single paragraph.

The abstract should include:

1. Research background.
2. Research objectives.
3. Research methodology.
4. Principal findings.
5. Conclusions and significance.

The abstract must not contain citations, tables, figures, equations, or uncommon abbreviations.

Keywords

Authors must provide 3–5 keywords representing the main concepts of the manuscript.

Keywords should be separated by semicolons (;).

Example

Keywords: educational technology; formative assessment; learning innovation; teacher education

Introduction

The Introduction should include:

• Research background.
• State of the art.
• Research gap.
• Scientific novelty.
• Research questions or hypotheses.
• Research objectives.

Instead of presenting a separate literature review, relevant literature should be integrated into the state-of-the-art discussion to demonstrate the novelty and significance of the study.

Method

The Method section should clearly describe the research design, participants or data sources, research instruments, research procedures, and data analysis techniques.

Where appropriate, authors may include research flowcharts or diagrams accompanied by figure captions.

Results and Discussion

The Results and Discussion section should present research findings supported by adequate empirical evidence.

The discussion should explain:

• The principal findings.
• The scientific reasons underlying the findings.
• The significance of the findings.
• Comparisons with previous studies.
• Implications for educational theory and practice.

Rather than merely describing the data, the discussion should provide scientific interpretation and demonstrate how the findings address the research objectives.

Tables

Tables must be numbered consecutively according to their order of appearance in the manuscript.

The table number and title should be placed above the table.

Vertical lines should not be used. Horizontal lines should be limited to those necessary for clarity. Every table must be cited and discussed within the main text.

Tables

Tables must be numbered consecutively according to their order of appearance in the manuscript. The table number and title must be placed above the table and written in Palatino Linotype, 10 pt, regular.

Tables must not contain vertical lines. Horizontal lines should be limited to those necessary for clarity. Every table must be referred to and discussed in the main text.

Figures

Figures must be numbered consecutively according to their order of appearance in the manuscript. Figure captions must be placed below the figure and written in Palatino Linotype, 10 pt, regular.

All figures should be of high quality, clearly legible, and relevant to the content of the manuscript. Every figure must be cited and explained in the main text.

Figures

Figures must have sufficient resolution to ensure that all text, labels, symbols, and graphical elements are clear and legible. Every figure must be cited and discussed in the main text.

Authors are responsible for obtaining permission to reproduce or adapt copyrighted tables, figures, photographs, research instruments, or any other third-party materials.

Conclusion

The conclusion should clearly address the research objectives and/or hypotheses. It should summarize the principal findings and their implications without repeating the results and discussion section.

Limitations

This section should describe the limitations of the study that may affect the research scope, methodology, analysis, or interpretation of the findings. Authors are encouraged to discuss these limitations objectively to provide context for future research.

Recommendations

The recommendations section should present suggestions for future research and practical implications derived from the study. Authors may also discuss challenges encountered during the research that could inform subsequent studies.

Author Contributions

Authors should clearly specify the contribution of each author to the study. Where appropriate, the following statement may be used:

"All authors have made substantial contributions to this study and have read and approved the final published version of the manuscript."

Funding

Authors must disclose all sources of research funding.

If the research received no external funding, please state:

"This research received no external funding."

If funding was received, provide the name of the funding agency and the grant number, where applicable.

Acknowledgments

This section may be used to acknowledge individuals, institutions, or organizations that provided administrative, technical, academic, or other forms of support that do not qualify for authorship or funding acknowledgment.

Conflict of Interest

Authors must declare any financial or non-financial conflicts of interest that could influence the research results or their interpretation.

If there are no conflicts of interest, please state:

"The authors declare no conflict of interest."

If the research was funded, authors should also disclose the role of the funding agency in the study design, data collection, data analysis, manuscript preparation, and publication decision. If the funder had no involvement, please state:

"The funders had no role in the design of the study; in the collection, analysis, or interpretation of data; in the writing of the manuscript; or in the decision to publish the results."

References

All references cited in the manuscript must be listed in the References section.

References should primarily consist of primary sources, particularly peer-reviewed journal articles, representing at least 80% of all references and preferably published within the last five years. Each manuscript is expected to include 25–30 relevant references.

Authors are required to use reference management software such as Mendeley, EndNote, Zotero, or similar applications. All citations and references must follow the APA (American Psychological Association) 7th Edition style.

The names, email addresses, and other personal information entered into this journal system will be used exclusively for the purposes of journal management and the publication process. They will not be shared with any third party or used for any purpose other than those directly related to the operation of the journal.
