Peer Reviewer Process
All manuscripts submitted to PEDAPAUD: Jurnal Pendidikan Dasar dan PAUD undergo a double-blind peer review process, in which the identities of both authors and reviewers remain confidential throughout the evaluation process.
Each manuscript is initially subjected to a pre-review (initial screening) conducted by the Editorial Board to assess its suitability with the journal's focus and scope, compliance with manuscript preparation guidelines, and adherence to applicable editorial policies.
Manuscripts that do not meet the requirements or fall outside the journal's focus and scope will be rejected at the initial stage. Manuscripts that successfully pass the pre-review stage will be forwarded to qualified peer reviewers for further evaluation of their academic substance, research methodology, originality, novelty, and scientific contribution.
The manuscript evaluation process generally takes approximately two months, depending on reviewer availability and the complexity of the manuscript being assessed.
Based on the reviewers' evaluations, the Editorial Board makes the final decision regarding the manuscript status by considering the reviewers' recommendations. The possible editorial decisions are:
- Reject – The manuscript is not accepted for publication because it does not meet the journal's scientific standards or publication requirements.
- Major Revision – The manuscript requires substantial revisions before it can be reconsidered for publication.
- Minor Revision – The manuscript requires limited revisions based on comments and suggestions from reviewers and editors.
- Accept – The manuscript is accepted for publication after successfully completing the entire editorial process.
