PEDAPAUD: Jurnal Pendidikan Dasar dan PAUD is committed to maintaining the integrity and quality of scholarly publications by implementing ethical publishing standards that must be followed by all parties involved in the publication process, including authors, editors, peer reviewers, and journal managers.

This publication ethics policy refers to the Regulation of the Head of the Indonesian Institute of Sciences (LIPI) No. 5 of 2014 on the Code of Ethics for Scientific Publications, as well as internationally recognized principles of publication ethics. The journal upholds three fundamental values:

• Neutrality, which refers to freedom from conflicts of interest throughout the management and publication process of scholarly works.
• Fairness, which ensures that authorship recognition is appropriately assigned to all individuals who have made legitimate contributions to the manuscript.
• Honesty, which ensures that every publication is free from duplication, fabrication, falsification, and plagiarism (DF2P).

Duties and Responsibilities of Journal Management

The journal management is responsible for:

• Establishing the journal title, academic scope, publication frequency, and accreditation status when applicable.
• Determining the composition of the Editorial Board.
• Establishing professional relationships among the publisher, editors, peer reviewers, and other relevant parties.
• Maintaining the confidentiality of all parties involved in the publication process.
• Ensuring compliance with intellectual property rights regulations, particularly copyright protection.
• Developing and disseminating journal policies to authors, editors, peer reviewers, and readers.
• Providing ethical guidelines for editors and peer reviewers.
• Publishing the journal regularly according to the established publication schedule.
• Ensuring the sustainability of journal operations through adequate resource management.
• Developing networks, collaborations, and strategies to increase journal visibility.
• Fulfilling all administrative and legal requirements related to journal publication.

Duties and Responsibilities of Editors

Editors are responsible for:

• Managing the editorial process fairly, objectively, and transparently.
• Maintaining and continuously improving the quality of scholarly publications.
• Ensuring that every manuscript undergoes an appropriate peer review process.
• Making editorial decisions based on the scientific quality of manuscripts without discrimination.
• Preserving the integrity of authors' academic records.
• Publishing corrections, clarifications, retractions, or apologies when necessary.
• Ensuring the quality of editing, language, and article formatting, while recognizing that the content of articles remains the responsibility of the authors.
• Encouraging feedback from authors, readers, and peer reviewers to improve journal quality.
• Handling allegations of publication ethics violations professionally and appropriately.
• Encouraging authors to comply with research ethics requirements, including ethical clearance when required.
• Supporting education and the development of a culture of responsible scholarly publishing.
• Periodically evaluating editorial policies to improve publication quality and integrity.
• Remaining open to diverse scientific perspectives and constructive academic discussion.
• Avoiding conflicts of interest in all editorial decisions.
• Guiding authors to ensure that manuscripts meet academic standards before publication.

Duties and Responsibilities of Peer Reviewers

Peer reviewers are responsible for:

• Conducting scientific reviews objectively, constructively, and within the required timeframe.
• Declining review assignments when conflicts of interest exist.
• Maintaining the confidentiality of all information related to reviewed manuscripts.
• Providing constructive feedback to improve manuscript quality.
• Reviewing revised manuscripts when requested by the editor.
• Conducting reviews based on scientific standards, research ethics, and the journal's review guidelines.

Duties and Responsibilities of Authors

Authors are responsible for:

• Ensuring that all individuals listed as authors meet the appropriate authorship criteria.
• Taking responsibility for the originality, validity, and integrity of all aspects of the article, including methodology, data, analysis, and conclusions.
• Disclosing all sources of funding and potential conflicts of interest.
• Clearly and honestly reporting research limitations.
• Responding professionally and promptly to comments and suggestions from editors and peer reviewers.
• Informing the editor if they intend to withdraw a submitted manuscript.
• Ensuring that submitted manuscripts are original works, have not been previously published in any language, are not under consideration by another journal, and are free from plagiarism, fabrication, falsification, and duplicate publication practices.
