Author Guidelines

Manuscripts submitted to PEDAPAUD: Jurnal Pendidikan Dasar dan PAUD must be written in proper and academic Indonesian language. All submitted manuscripts undergo an initial screening process by the editor to evaluate their suitability with the journal's focus and scope, administrative completeness, and compliance with the manuscript preparation guidelines before proceeding to the peer review process.

Manuscripts must be submitted in Microsoft Word (.doc/.docx) or Rich Text Format (.rtf).

Submitted manuscripts must be original scholarly works, have not been previously published, are not currently under consideration by another journal, and must contribute to the advancement of knowledge in the fields of primary education and early childhood education (ECE).

The manuscript length should be approximately 3,000–6,000 words or 5–15 pages, formatted on A4 paper size, using Palatino Linotype 11 pt font, single spacing, single-column format, and justified alignment. Font sizes in tables, figures, and abstracts may be adjusted to improve readability.

Manuscript Structure

Manuscripts should be organized in the following order:

1. Title
2. Author Names
3. Author Affiliations
4. Abstract
5. Keywords
6. Introduction
7. Methods
8. Results
9. Discussion
10. Conclusion and Implications
11. Acknowledgments (Optional)
12. References

1. Title

The title should clearly represent the content of the article in a concise, informative, and specific manner. The title must be written in Indonesian, consist of approximately 12–15 words, and should not contain uncommon abbreviations or mathematical formulas.

2. Author Names

Author names must be written in full without academic or professional titles. If an article has more than one author, all authors' names must be listed according to their level of contribution.

3. Author Affiliations

Each author must provide complete affiliation information, including:

• Institution name;
• Institution address;
• Postal code;
• Country; and
• Corresponding author's email address.

4. Abstract

The abstract must be written in Indonesian in a single paragraph containing 150–200 words. The abstract should briefly include:

• Research background;
• Research objectives;
• Methodology;
• Main findings; and
• Conclusions.

5. Keywords

Keywords should consist of 3–5 words or phrases, written in Indonesian, and arranged alphabetically.

6. Introduction

The introduction should include:

• Research background;
• Research problems;
• Research significance;
• Relevant literature review;
• Research gap;
• Research novelty; and
• Research objectives.

This section should be systematically organized with an approximate length of 1,000 words.

7. Methods

The methods section must provide sufficient detail to allow other researchers to replicate the study. This section should include:

• Research type and design;
• Research location and duration;
• Research subjects or objects;
• Research instruments;
• Data collection techniques; and
• Data analysis techniques.

8. Results

The results section should present research findings objectively through representative narratives, tables, and/or figures.

Information already presented in tables or figures does not need to be repeated in full within the narrative. The discussion should focus on explaining the main findings of the research.

Articles generally include 3–7 tables and/or figures, and identical data should not be presented simultaneously in both table and figure formats.

9. Discussion

The discussion section should interpret research findings by relating them to relevant theories and previous studies. This section should explain:

• The meaning of research findings;
• Reasons behind the findings;
• Comparisons with previous studies;
• Contributions to knowledge development; and
• Implications of the research findings.

10. Conclusion and Implications

The conclusion should be written in a single paragraph without numbering.

The conclusion must address the research objectives and questions while explaining the contribution of the study to the advancement of knowledge and educational practices. Authors may also include research implications and recommendations for future studies.

11. Acknowledgments (Optional)

This section may be used to express appreciation to individuals or institutions that contributed to the research but do not meet the criteria for authorship.

All research funding sources must be disclosed, including the name of the funding institution and grant number, if available.

12. References

References must be prepared using reference management software such as Mendeley, EndNote, or Zotero, following the APA (American Psychological Association) 7th edition citation style.

Authors are strongly encouraged to use primary references from recent and relevant scholarly journal articles related to the research topic.
